On Thursday, May 29, Royal Challengers Bengaluru locked horns against Punjab Kings at the Mullanpur stadium for IPL 2025 qualifier one. Notably, Rajat Patidar won the toss and asked Shreyas Iyer's PBKS to bat first in the crucial match.

Talking about the team changes, RCB made one change as Josh Hazlewood returned to the playing XI for the first time since the suspension of the league on May 8. It is a big boost for the three-times finalists as the Australia seamer has been their best bowler in the ongoing season. But whom has Hazlewood replaced in the playing XI?

It is worth noting that Nuwan Thushara had to make way for Hazlewood in the playing XI. The Sri Lanka star bowler played his first game of the league against Lucknow Super Giants, where the right-arm seamer bowled well and registered the figures of 1/26 in his four overs.

Talking about Hazlewood's performance, the right-arm seamer has taken 18 wickets in 10 matches and had to miss Challengers' last four group stage matches because of a shoulder injury. For the ongoing match, Hazlewood will form a formidable force alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal in the pace set-up.

Besides Hazlewood, RCB's Rajat Patidar too has returned to leading the side after playing just as an impact sub in the last couple of games because of a finger injury.
