The Royal Challengers Bengaluru are currently playing against the Punjab Kings in the 37th match of the IPL 2025 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. Virat Kohli once again showed his class in the match as he led the chase for Bengaluru.

Kohli Was The Architect Of RCB's Chase

Notably, Rajat Patidar won the toss ahead of the game and invited the home team to bat first. Punjab Kings made a brilliant start to their innings, however, the RCB bowlers made a solid comeback and managed to restrict the opposition at 157/6 in their 20 overs. 

As the chase started, RCB received a shock losing Phil Salt very early. However, Devdutt Padikkal joined Kohli in the middle and changed the complexion of the match in RCB's favour. Virat Kohli played a characteristic knock where he got settled into his mojo and then guided the team towards the target.

Virat Kohli Gets Frustrated With Rajat Patidar

As Kohli was propelling the team towards the total a misunderstanding occured between Kohli and Rajat Patidar. On the fourth delivery of the 16th over, Kohli played a ball towards the deep square leg region. He was looking for a couple, however, Patidar was not ready for the return.

There was a misunderstanding between the two batters and they were stuck in the middle of the pitch. Although, RCB did not suffer a loss as PBKS failed to take advantage of the situation. But the passion of Kohli for the game came out and he was seen frustrated with his partner. Kohli was seen telling something aggressively to his skipper, Patidar, which reflected the hunger and passion of the great batter for the game even till now.
