Zak Crawley Gets Out - (Source : @ScreenGrab/X.Com)
In the ongoing fourth Test between India and England at the Old Trafford in Manchester, the hosts are in the driver's seat courtesy of solid opening partnership from Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. Notably, India tumbled for 358 runs, while the hosts, stitched a 166-runs stand for the first wicket to frustrate the visitors.
The openers took on the bowlers and hit the India players all across the park. Meanwhile, ak Crawley missed out on a hundred after he fell prey to Ravindra Jadeja's brilliance and KL Rahul's masterclass at the slips.
Jadeja's No-Ball Turns Into A Blessing For India
Crawley walked back to the pavilion after scoring 84 (113) as KL Rahul took a brilliant low catch to draw the first blood for India. A lot occurred in the Ravindra Jadeja over as a no-ball turned blessing in disguise.
The wicket fell on the last ball of the 32nd over. Notably, the sixth ball of the over went for a four and Jadeja nearly took his cap from the umpire, which is when the official signalled for a no-ball. Frustration grew within the camp as Jaddu would have to bowl an extra delivery after already giving eight runs in that over.
Crawley Misses Out On A Century
However, the seventh ball of the over, which was technically and legally the last ball of Jaddu's over, turned out to be a wicket-taking delivery as it found a thick edge off Crawley's bat.
It was a frustrating moment for the English opener as he stood in disbelief for a few seconds before making his way to the dressing room. Talking about the match, at the time of writing this article, England are 182/1 after 34.2 overs and trail by just 176 runs.
While Crawley missed out on a ton, his opening pair Ben Duckett is on course for a century as he is batting on 89 (94).
