IPL 2024 Match 67, MI Vs LSG | Playing 11 Prediction, Cricket Tips, Preview & Live Streaming
Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya having a chat in IPL 2024 (BCCI)
Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants will be in action on Friday (May 17) for probably one last time in IPL 2024 when they take on each other in Match 67 of the ongoing edition at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
MI Vs LSG: Team Previews
Mumbai Indians
Before the season's commencement, Mumbai, under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, were projected as one of the serious title contenders in IPL 2024. They had all the bases covered, with Hardik returning his 'home' after taking Gujarat Titans to glory as a captain.
However, they disappointed as a unit time and time again, resulting in them languishing at the bottom of the points table. A team stuffed with star-studded Indian core, such as Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik himself managing just four wins in 13 attempts is nothing but shame for them, as well as for their fans.
With nothing to lose at this point of the competition, Hardik and Co. will play for their pride to finish things off on a high note before their focus shifts to T20 World Cup 2024. They can bring in a few youngsters who have not had many opportunities throughout this season, with the likes of Harvik Desai and Arjun Tendulkar being the likeliest to get their opportunities.
Lucknow Super Giants
Despite not having the greatest of bowlers, KL Rahul-led Lucknow seemed like a well-oiled machine under head coach Justin Langer in the early half of the competition. They were on the verge of qualifying for the playoffs comfortably before three defeats on the bounce, which also shattered their hopes in a humiliating manner.
Lucknow have quite a few promising foreigners who have not lived up to their lofty expectations. Quinton de Kock tops the chart, with Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis also blowing hot and cold to make matters worse.
Will Lucknow finally give Kyle Mayers a chance? There is a possibility, yes. Among others, there is little chance of chopping and changing, as their bench only has a limited number of solid options.

MI Vs LSG: Wankhede Stadium Pitch Report
As you can expect, pitches at Wankhede Stadium help batters to get going a lot. Fast bowlers can get an extra bounce, and if they bowl with brains, they can get assistance as well. However, it is safe to say that the pitches are flat here, helping batters to make a run-fest.
