MI v RCB: Team Previews
Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians have finally got off the mark on the points table against Delhi Capitals after defeating the latter by 29 runs. Batting first, they got a fantastic start from their openers before ex-skipper, Rohit Sharma fell to Axar Patel on 49(27). Ishan Kishan also scored a quick 42(23). On his return, Suryakumar Yadav couldn't make his mark as he got out to a two-ball duck.
Tim David added important 45*(21) and Pandya struggled to get going as he scored 39(33). Romario Shephard took on Nortje and scored 32 runs in the final over, which also turned out as a match-winning cameo. and MI ended their innings with 234/5.
On the bowling front, their lead pacers, Gerald Coetzee and Jasprit Bumrah performed on the expected lines, ending up with the figures of 6/56 from their eight. Tristian Stubbs had people at the edge of their seats with his 71*(25) but Mumbai kept taking wickets from the other end.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, after having a promising game at home against Punjab Kings looked like a unit to reckon with. However, nothing has been going their way post that game. Nobody apart from Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik has been firing this season.
The age-old worry of bowlers leaking runs persists, as even Siraj, who was supposed to lead this attack has been all over the place. Reece Topley looked good in their for his 2/27 in 4 overs and Yash Dayal has been blowing hot and cold.
Bengaluru will have to fix-up things as soon as possible before another campaign derails and they would see facing struggling MI as the opportunity to turn things around.
