Seasoned English campaigner Danni Wyatt smacked a well-compiled half-century against India Women at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Taking the field for England in their tour opener, the match also marked the 150th T20I appearance of her career.

Having made her international debut back in March 2010, Wyatt became only the third cricketer in history (men or women) to complete 150 T20I matches.

Danni Wyatt joins elite club, celebrates with fifty

England opener Danni Wyatt completed 150 T20I matches for her country through the course of her latest appearance against India Women at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on December 6. Becoming only the third cricketer in history, she joined the likes of current Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur and New Zealand legend Suzie Bates in the elite list.

Indian men’s captain Rohit Sharma (148 matches) and Australian women’s wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy (147 matches) are the next most experienced campaigners on the list with the highest number of T20I caps to their names.

Ever since her T20I debut, Danni Wyatt has produced over 2,500 runs at an average of nearly 22, with 15 scores of fifty or more to her name. The prolific top-order batter has also snared 46 victims through her right-arm off-breaks.

Against India in her 150th T20I appearance, Wyatt blitzed her way to a sublime opening start for her country, in spite of losing opening partner Sophia Dunkley earlier in the innings. The match serves as the opening fixture of England’s three-game T20I series in India, which itself will be followed by a one-off four-day Test match late in mid-December.
