The much-awaited day 5 of the second Test match between India and West Indies is all set to start at 10:45 PM IST (1:15 PM Local Time). The rain that was pouring down an hour or so back has now stopped completely and the groundsmen are working hard to get Queen's Park Oval ready for what promises to be a riveting final day of this historic 100th Test match between India and West Indies. Also, 67 overs will be bowled in the day, so from the Indian point of view, this is a great news.

A West Indies win now looks almost impossible, but they will have fewer overs to play out if they want to salvage a draw in this Test. However, for all that to happen, we don’t need rain to make its way back again. The forecast is not that promising, but if we do get the full 67 overs, things could get quite interesting.

India need 8 wickets to win, and they will be giving their all to gain those crucial 12 WTC points from this game. Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Jermaine Blackwood will resume the innings for the Windies, and the biggest threat for them will be the spin duo of Ashwin-Jadeja.

Also, it will be interesting to see how West Indies batters approach this final day now. They need to score pretty briskly to win this one, and if they do that, it would be quite a pleasant surprise for all cricket fans in the Caribbean. Let’s see how things pan out, and let’s just hope that the rain stays away now and cricket takes the centrestage for the rest of the day.
