Fans have been eagerly waiting to see India take on South Africa for the first T20I of the three-match series on Sunday (December 10). However, the long wait went on as the rain continued to fall, preventing them from being in action.

As the contest has started losing overs from 8:10 PM IST onwards, fans are anxious to know what the final cut-off time for a five-over game is. However, as of now, no announcement has been made, with continuous drizzle likely to abandon the contest without a ball being bowled.

The Men in Blue are without prolific stars such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah in the T20Is, with Suryakumar Yadav leading the side in their absence. As for South Africa, Aiden Markram will lead the team, as they also don’t have well-known names such as Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, and Temba Bavuma.

As of now, things are not looking promising, as we are hearing the game can be called off anytime soon. Meanwhile, the second T20I will take place at St. George's Park, Gqeberha, on December 12.
