Amit Mishra has been one of the premier spinners in IPL over the years. The veteran has bamboozled lot of cricketers with his crafty leg-breaks in his IPL as well as international career and is known for his ability to get big turn contrary to the modern-day spinners.

Mishra is one of those few active cricketers who were part of the inaugural edition of the IPL as well. However, he has not played much games from 2020 season with age not on his side. Mishra though once again showed in the game against SRH that he still has it in him and bowled brilliantly to take two wickets and one spectacular catch.

Talking after the match, Mishra said that he is feeling good about his performance. He added that he has done a lot of hardwork on his bowling and fielding as well and is happy to execute in the game. The veteran mentioned that he just tried to bowl perfect spots and kept changing his pace.

This is what Amit Mishra said:

"I am feeling good. Thanks a lot, Doull (Simon Doull). I have done a lot of hard work on bowling and some bit of work on fielding as well. Happy to execute it tonight and do well for the team. I just tried to bowl them on perfect spots and kept changing my pace,"

Amit Mishra also shared his thoughts on the catch he took and said that he enjoyed it and more than him it was Jonty Rhodes who enjoyed it. Talking about this pitch, Mishra said that black-soiled surface will keep slower and lower but it did not turn much and adds that the red soil pitch turns more with bounce. He stated that the pitches might get better for batting as the tournament progresses.

"I enjoyed that catch and more than me Jonty Rhodes has enjoyed it, haha. Yes, it's a black-soiled surface and hence it will keep a bit lower and will behave a bit slower as well. But it doesn't turn a lot as it does with red soil where the ball turns and bounces. I guess as the tournament progresses, the pitch will become better for batting."

Amit Mishra might come into game again when Lucknow will play their home matches but it is travelling time for them next up. They will be heading to Bangalore to face RCB on 10th of April.
