SRH were handed a heavy defeat in their opening game but came into Lucknow with high hopes with their South African contingent available for the second game including their skipper, Aiden Markram.

However, the initial euphoria soon turned into despair as they batting order failed to get going on a sluggish pitch. The pitch is helping spinners and is pretty slow with low bounce. Krunal Pandya with his crafty accurate left-arm spin bowling has made sure that he takes full advantage of the conditions. He took three early wickets and got rid of Mayank Agarwal cheaply. He then got rid of Anmolpreet Singh who was batting well and followed it up with a peach of a delivery to dismiss SRH skipper, Aiden Markram on a golden duck.

Soon, Bishnoi also got into the act with a wicket of Brook and SRH were reduced to 55-4 at the end of the 9th over. The pitch is a difficult one and SRH would be looking to get something around 130-140 to keep themselves in the game.

At the time of writing, SRH are 69-4 at the end of 12 overs with Washington Sundar and Rahul Tripathi at the crease. SRH do have batting left in their tank and can also use Heinrich Klaasen as an Impact Player if needed to put a good score on the board.
