In a breathtaking showcase of batting performance, Hyderabad left fans astounded with their explosive batting performance against Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024 match at the Nexgen Cricket Ground on day 1.

Opting to bowl after winning the toss, Hyderabad's decision seemed justified as they dismantled Arunachal Pradesh for a meager 172 runs, courtesy of stellar bowling by Chama Milind, Kartikeya Kak, and T Natarajan.

Hyderabad's batting onslaught was relentless, with their innings progressing at a blistering pace – 0 to 500 runs in just 43.5 overs. The well-synchronized effort saw them reach milestones rapidly: 0 to 100 in 81 balls, 100 to 200 in 61 balls, 200 to 300 in 40 balls, 300 to 400 in 41 balls, and 400 to 500 in 40 balls.

However, the real spectacle unfolded when Hyderabad stepped up to the crease. Tanmay Agarwal emerged as the day's hero, smashing a record-breaking 323 runs in 160 balls with the help of 33 fours and 21 sixes, propelling Hyderabad to an imposing total of 529/1 by the end of Day 1.

This remarkable innings marked only the second occasion in cricket history where both teams collectively amassed over 700 runs in a single day.

Arunachal Pradesh's struggles were evident as their innings stumbled early on, losing four wickets for just 21 runs. While Doria's resilient 97 offered some resistance, lacking substantial support from teammates meant a modest total of 172 runs.

At the close of play, Hyderabad found themselves in a commanding position, leading by a substantial 357 runs, with Tanmay Agarwal at 323* and Abhirath Reddy at 19* on the crease.
