Seattle Orcas attained a historic milestone as they successfully chased down the highest total in the history of Major League Cricket (MLC). Shimron Hetmyer emerged as the star of the night for Seattle, guiding them to glory with a power-packed knock.

However, Shimron Hetmyer held his nerves and frustrated the MI bowlers through his scintillating stroke play. The West Indies batter, who didn't have a great IPL 2025 campaign with Rajasthan Royals, hammered nine sixes and five boundaries, remaining unbeaten for a majestic 40-ball 97. 

With six needed off the final ball, Hetmyer dispatched Kieron Pollard's body-line delivery straight into the fine leg stand, leading the Orcas to a historic victory. 

Thus, Seattle Orcas set a new record for the highest successful chase in the tournament's history.
