Courtesy of his onslaught, Pakistan achieved a major milestone as they reached their team hundred in just 8.1 overs (49 balls) and this is their fastest-ever team hundred recorded in T20I format.
Their previous record was set against England inside 9.1 overs (55 deliveries) as the new-looked Pakistan side shattered the Kiwi hopes and launched a brilliant counter-attacking knock.
Hasan Nawaz slams maiden T20I ton
Hasan Nawaz had back-to-back failures and experts wanted him out of the side, however, Pakistan backed him for this crucial encounter and the batter responded with a magnificent unbeaten century.
He looked assured and took down the attack with ease as the batter went berserk and remained unbeaten at 105 off 45, with a strike-rate of 233 as Pakistan won the contest by 9 wickets.
This was also Pakistan's third highest successful run-chases in T20Is, as the Men in Green made a big statement.
