It is time for the all-important first T20I of the five-match series between India and England. The toss has been done, and Nat Sciver-Brunt has decided to field first after winning it.
India Opt For Spin-Heavy Attack, England Trust Pacers
India have handed a debut to Nallapureddy Charani, the left-arm orthodox spinner, and Shafali Verma is also back in the mix. The visitors are without their regular skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur, who is struggling with a head injury. The home team, on the other hand, have gone with a pace-heavy attack which includes the likes of Lauren Bell, Emily Louise Arlott and Lauren Filer.
The Women in Blue in contrast have gone with more tweakers with as many as four spinners in the XI. They have Arundhati Reddy as their frontline seamer, while the likes of Harleen Deol, Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh form the crux of the middle order in the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur.
