In a major development, the rain gods have decided to stop the showers in Ahmedabad on Friday before Qualifier 2 between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI). The toss may have got delayed at the Narender Modi Stadium, but the officials have decided to check on the playing conditions at 7:20 PM IST.

As per the latest announcement, the toss will take place at 7:45 PM IST, and the match will begin at 8:00 PM. Fortunately, we haven't lost many overs.

As per the officials, the game would get started the latest by 9:40 PM IST for a whole match to get underway. The cut-off time for a five-over-per-side affair is 11:56 PM IST.

The defending champions, GT, were beaten by Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1, forcing them to play Mumbai in Qualifier 2. But, conversely, MI are on a high as they outclassed Lucknow Super Giants in Eliminator.

Nevertheless, after the earlier pelting of rain, the toss-winning captain will look to bowl first, considering the cloudy sheet overhead and moisture left on the pitch.

The winner of this clash will play Chennai in the final at the same venue on Sunday.
