Mumbai Indians (MI) against Gujarat Titans (GT) has emerged as a new rivalry in this Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) after the two captains were caught taking cold digs against each other during the course of the competition. Meanwhile, Qualifier 2 will be the first playoff match between Hardik Pandya's current IPL team and his former side. However, what would happen if the upcoming GT versus MI clash gets washout due to rain?

What would happen if GT vs MI gets washed out?

If rain gods don't clear the cloud sheets, then a Super Over would decide the winner between Gujarat and Mumbai. However, if the conditions aren't adequate for even a Super Over being bowled, then the Titans - who finished over MI on the points table - would go through to the final clash of the IPL 2023.

Rain Forecast for GT vs MI

There is no rain prediction for Ahmedabad on Friday, meaning Qualifier 2 between GT and MI would go seamlessly. As per Accuweather.com, Ahmedabad would have breezy weather in the evening with 21% partly cloudy over, but there are no rain or thunderstorm predictions. The temperature is expected to be as low as 29°C, with wind speeds of 19 km/h SW.

The winner of Gujarat versus Mumbai would advance to face Chennai Super Kings in the final, which will be played at the same venue on May 28 (Sunday). Interestingly, the Titans have the edge over the Indians, beating them on two out of three occasions; however, Rohit Sharma's MI got the best of the opposition the last time they met.
