Faf Du Plessis To Join Commentary Panel in IPL After A HeartBreaking Loss For RCB

Faf du Plessis, the RCB skipper, had a superb 2023 season and scored 730 runs with the bat. He was brilliant as a leader too but unfortunately for him and all RCB fans, they lost the final league stage game and were knocked out of the IPL 2023. It was a heartbreaking moment for RCB fans and Faf du Plessis was visibly pretty upset after that loss.

He has gone back to South Africa now but the good news is that he will be a part of IPL 2023 for the Qualifier 2 and the Final. In a different role though, as he will don a commentator's hat for Star Sports and will be seen sharing his insights about the game now. His inclusion can add to the flavour of commentary in IPL 2023 as he was part of the league as a player recently and could bring in a point of view that could be very different and interesting.

As he is in South Africa, he will join the commentary panel through realistic hologram technology. This is the same technology that was used for Steve Smith in the first half of IPL 2023.

Faf du Plessis confirmed the news through his twitter handle. He said that he is missing the IPL and would be joining the Star Sports Team for the final two games of IPL 2023.

Interestingly, the KKR star Venkatesh Iyer will be seen doing Tamil Commentary for the final two IPL games. So, a star-studded commentary team is all set to unleash in the Qualifier 2 and the final of IPL 2023.
