The United States vs Ireland game slated to take place at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida was left hanging after being marred by rain. If this game is called off, USA will be through to the Super 8 stage, with Pakistan getting knocked out of the T20 World Cup 2024.

As per the latest update, the inspection got over at 10:45 PM IST (1:15 PM Local Time). But things don't look promising simply because the players from both sides don't want to risk any injuries. There is a high chance of an injury when you are playing on a damp surface.

However, covers have been played near the square as dark clouds have started to loom over the Lauderhill Stadium and it is pelting at the moment.

A very interesting fact is that if Pakistan are knocked out, it would be the first time in the history of T20 World Cup that they would not qualify for Super Eights. Moreover, for the T20 World Cup 2026, they would have to play qualifiers in all likeliness.
