In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between KKR and GT at the Eden Gardens stadium, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan took the world by storm as they stitched another century stand. Notably, the GT openers, who have been the most consistent pair in the tournament, became the first duo to stitch 400+ runs stand in IPL 2025.

Further, Gill and Sudharsan amassed a 114 runs stand for the first wicket and it was their sixth century stand for the first wicket. With this feat, they also equalled Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis' feat of six century opening stand for RCB.
