Who doesn't know about the AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli bond? The friendship of the South African superstar and the Indian maestro from their RCB days is well-known to everybody and for a treat to fans ahead of the Final. The duo was seen sharing the warmth with each other.

As Rajat Patidar's RCB is all set to take on Punjab Kings for the final time this season at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Virat Kohli was found hugging AB de Villiers during the warm-up session.

AB de Villiers Shows Support to Virat Kohli Ahead Of Final

Fans are excited for the game, especially RCB fans, who, despite reaching the playoffs more than 10 times are yet to clinch their maiden title. AB de Villiers, a veteran, who joined RCB back in 2011, fought beside Virat Kohli and shared the same passion but failed to lift the trophy.

On June 3, De Villiers was seen visiting the RCB camp during the prematch practice, as he told earlier too that he would be present in the final to cheer for RCB, and met with Virat Kohli sharing a hug and exchanging a few words ahead of the game.

Interestingly, the duo played 159 IPL matches together before the Proteas star exited the domestic game in 2021. ABD had a stellar IPL career where he amassed 5162 runs in his 184 innings at an average of 39.71. 'Mr. 360' was known for his explosive demeanour with the bat and had an IPL career strike rate of 151.69.

Nevertheless, with the Final match set to go down the wire, both Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings are set to give their every inch in the match which was briefly threatened by rain in the evening.
