The England cricket team showcased their batting prowess in the second T20I against South Africa, as the hosts created a huge record and became just the second Test-playing nation, after Zimbabwe, to score 300-plus runs in a T20I game. The Three Lions lost just two wickets and posted 304 runs on the board.
Phil Salt smashed the fastest T20I century by an Englishman, and remained unbeaten at 141 off 60 balls, and he was amply supported by Jos Buttler (83), and Harry Brook (41) as the England side unlocked a milestone only achieved by two teams - Zimbabwe and Nepal.
South Africa won the first T20I, but in the second game, England showed their batting aggression as Salt and Buttler added 126 runs for the first wicket. Once Buttler departed, Salt added quick-fire runs with Bethell and Brook to steer England past 300.
