Well, many fans expected MS Dhoni to lead the Chennai Super Kings in the absence of injured Ruturaj Gaikwad, but it seems the regular captain is fit and fine and will lead the team against a rampant Delhi Capitals side. Gaikwad suffered from a hand injury and there were doubts on his participation, but he quashed all rumours by walking out for the toss.

CSK lost their last two matches and will be eager to get back on a winning track. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals are on a roll under new leader, Axar Patel.

They started the tournament with a narrow win over LSG and then thrashed the SRH side in a one-sided contest. Will they continue the winning streak?. Let us look at what happened at toss.

Delhi Capitals won the toss and Axar Patel had no hesitation in deciding to bat first on a red sopil surface which is expected to break as the game progresses. Gaikwad stated that Devon Conway returns in the playing XI as he missed out on the last three games.

Conway replaces Jamie Overton who had a nightmarish of a game against the Rajasthan Royals. On the other hand, Faf du Plessis, the star man for DC is having a slight niggle and will miss the clash.
