IPL 2025 has been a disastrous season for the five-time champions, the Chennai Super Kings. Ahead of the ongoing game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Super Kings had played 10 matches and lost eight of them.
They have struggled to find the right combination for this season and have made multiple chop and changes which is generally uncharacteristic of the team. The management has also faced multiple criticism for not using young players like Vanshi Bedi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti.
A latest social media post has sparked speculation that Vansh Bedi could have been a part of the playing XI in the ongoing game against RCB. However, a last minute injury resulted in him not being a part of the unit and Deepak Hooda retaining his spot.
Who Is Vansh Bedi?
Vansh Bedi is a young wicketkeeper batter aged 22 years. He was bought for a price of ₹55 Lakhs by the Chennai Super Kings during the IPL 2025 mega auction.
The young batter scored 221 runs in nine matches during the tournament and caught the eye of the fans and specialists. He showed his ability to strike the ball hard during the tournament and as a result could have been a good option for the struggling CSK team during the tournament.
Deepak Hooda In IPL 2025
The Indian all-rounder has been one of the biggest liabilities for the CSK team in IPL 2025. Deepak Hooda has scored just 31 runs in five innings that he has played in the tournament at a strike rate of just 75.60.
Often the right-handed batter has been the reason behind the drop in momentum of the team's innings progression and losing the crucial moments in a game.
