Trinbago Knight Riders made the most of their home advantage by consigning Barbados Royals to their fourth successive defeat of the CPL 2024 season. The outcome also solidified Knight Riders’ chances of securing a top two finish before the impending playoffs.

While Shaqkere Parris and Pooran’s successive dismissals to Jason Holder and Naveen-ul-Haq crashed the TKR to 35-3, number four batter Keacy Carty anchored his team’s faltering innings with 32 cautious runs from 34 balls.

Carty’s anchoring act alongside captain Kieron Pollard took the TKR past the 100-run mark in less than 14 overs.

Alick Athanaze at number four countered Hosein’s (3-15) opening three-wicket burst by carving 44 runs from 33 balls to add some stability to the Royals’ top-order.
