The 15th edition of the popular Big Bash League (BBL) is all set to begin on December 14. The opening match of the tournament will see the Perth Scorchers take on the Sydney Sixers at Optus Stadium, Perth.

The league stage of the competition will feature total of 40 matches. After the league matches are completed, the top four teams on the points table will qualify for the playoffs. The teams finishing first and second will face each other in the Qualifier match on January 20. The winner of this match will secure a direct spot in the final.

The teams finishing third and fourth will compete in the Knockout match on January 21. The winner of this game will move on to the Challenger match, scheduled for January 23, where they will face the loser of the Qualifier.

The winner of the Challenger will earn the right to play in the final against the Qualifier winner. The grand final of the Big Bash League 15 will be played on January 25, 2026.
