Glenn Maxwell is known for his power-packed batting and his athleticism on the field and it was on full display during the ongoing Big Bash League contest Vs the Brisbane Heat. He plucked a catch out of nowhere as the entire crowd was stunned.
Melbourne Stars, Maxwell's team collided with the Heat and the team from Melbourne had the cutting-edge as they bowled according to the plan and restricted Brisbane Heat to 149/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
How Maxwell took the greatest catch in the history
While there were some brilliant deliveries to get rid off the batters, the limelight was hogged by Maxwell who plucked a stunner out of nowhere to grab an unbelievable catch.
Daniel Lawrence, the Stars bowler delivered a tossed up ball as the opposition batter, Will Prestwidge swung his bat and got a really good connection on it as the ball travelled quickly towards the long-on fence. At first, it looked as if the ball will cross the ropes, but Glenn Maxwell was situated there who jumped and got a hand to it.
He made sure that the ball didn't cross the rope as he parried it back and jumped past the boundary ropes. However, the Aussie star had the game presence to come back in and take the catch as the ball was still in the air.
The Stars were brilliant with the ball as they restricted the Heat to a below-par total. Only Max Bryant 77* off 48) provided any sort of resistance as the Stars are in a comfortable position at the half-way mark.
