After winning the toss and putting the home side Bangladesh into bat, the home side Tigers lost their first two wickets in the first three overs, where both their openers, Saif Hassan and Soumya Sarkar, departed for just 3 and 4 runs, respectively, with just eight runs on the board.
Following this, Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a decent 32, while the real star of the show was Towhid Hridoy with a 51, batting in tough conditions where the ball was turning and spinning miles. Apart from him, Mahidul Islam Ankon put up a brilliant fight with 46 runs, while Rishad Hossain with the bat scored a decent 26.
In the end, Bangladesh managed to put up 207 runs as they were knocked over in 49.4 overs, where Jayden Seales picked a three-wicket haul, while Roston Chase and Justin Greaves grabbed two wickets apiece.

Chasing 208 runs for victory, West Indies had a decent start with Brandon King and Alick Athanaze scoring 44 and 27, respectively, as the Caribbean side lost their first wicket on 51. In comparison, Keacy Carty was the second man to depart for just nine runs.
Following this wicket, West Indies kept losing their batters one after another, where Rishad Hossain was the real star man, who claimed the top five wickets all with his leg-spin bowling.
From being 51 for no loss, West Indies suddenly had 92 for 5, where the lower order couldn't put up a fight, as they were bowled out in an instant with just 133 on the scorecard.
Rishad picked a total of six wickets in this game in his nine overs, giving away just 35 runs, as the Men in Maroon were cleaned up for 133 in just 39 overs, falling short of the target by 74 runs in the end.
The pitch was turning, and the ball was not coming onto the bat easily, as Rishad Hossain made full use of the conditions as he bowled an excellent spell to trouble the Caribbean batters.
Hence, after this outstanding victory, Bangladesh are 1-0 ahead in the three-match ODI series, with the second game to be played on the 21st of October.
