Bangladesh enjoyed an easy seven-wicket win in the one-off Test against Ireland at Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

Taijul Islam acts as wrecker-in-chief

Bangladesh's left-arm spinner claimed a nine wicket-haul in the match, dismantling the Ireland batting line-up.

He was helped by Ebadot Hossain, whose five wickets, spread across both the innings made him the second-best bowler for the Tigers.

As Ireland ended at the overnight score of 286/8, taking a lead of 131 runs on the back of Andy McBrine's fifty and Lorcan Tucker's maiden Test century, Ebadot did not waste much time in bundling out the visitors as he gathered the remaining two wickets in the morning of the penultimate day of the game.

Ireland were bowled out for 292, setting a 138-run target for Bangladesh.

Mushfiqur carries Bangladesh in run-chase

Mark Adair and McBrine filled in belief among the Irish as Bangladesh lost two early wickets in the form of Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto.

However, a 62-run partnership between Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal sailed the hosts towards the target. Mushfiqur, who scored 126 runs in the first innings, again came down heavily on Ireland, scoring a match-winning half-century.

Though Ireland managed to dismiss Tamim, things had already gone out of their hands by then as Bangladesh ultimately achieved the target with seven wickets to spare.
