Pakistan U19 dominated Zimbabwe U19 in the third ODI of the Tri-Series with a commanding batting display. Sameer Minhas, after a heroic knock in the Asia Cup final, again slammed a stunning century to extend his dream run.

Sameer played a magnificent innings of 142 in just 106 balls, and his rock-steady batting performance anchored Pakistan to a huge total of 354/7 in 50 overs before the rains interrupted the match.

Opening the innings, he started off on a positive note in intent as well, hitting the gaps and punishing anything loose.

His innings included 17 boundaries and four sixes, and he scored at an impressive strike rate of nearly 134.

After the early loss of Ali Hassan Baloch, Sameer Minhas settled in quickly, rotating the strike and building partnerships.

He shared a match-defining 199-run stand with Usman Khan Jnr, who also struck a fine century. They took the game away from the Zimbabweans and raised the run rate without taking many risks.

Sameer Minhas eventually fell in the 34th over, with Pakistan U19 already well on course for a huge total. By then, he had done the bulk of the damage, laying a platform that allowed the middle order to play freely.

Contributions from Usman Khan Jnr (121) and Huzaifa Ahsan (54) further pushed Pakistan into a position.

Not only that, but Minhas accumulated 471 runs in the tournament with a 117.46 strike rate, thus finishing as the leading run-scorer in U19 Asia Cup single-edition history.
