Afghanistan blanked Bangladesh by 200 runs to seal their three-match ODI series by a 3-0 margin. After Ibrahim Zadran and Mohammad Nabi blasted sizzling half-centuries, young Bilal Sami and ace spinner Rashid Khan came to the fore with the ball.

Ibrahim Zadran, Mohammad Nabi blaze AFG to 293 despite Saif’s 3-fer
Afghanistan surged to a monumental 293-9 despite slipping to 249-9 at the end of 48 overs. Senior hard-hitting all-rounder Mohammad Nabi bludgeoned 62* runs off just 37 balls with four fours and five sixes to ensure Afghanistan extracted 44 runs from the final 12 deliveries of the innings.
Earlier in the game, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a near run-a-ball 42 during his 99-run opening partnership with Ibrahim Zadran in 16 overs. Zadran himself top-scored in the innings by composing an imperial 95 off 111 balls. For Bangladesh, fast bowler Hasan Mahmud and left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam picked up two wickets each, while part-timer Saif Hassan snapped three wickets at an expense of just six runs from his four overs.
Bilal Sami, Rashid Khan skittle Bangladesh
Afghanistan’s young fast bowler Bilal Sami and senior spinner Rashid Khan collectively blew away Bangladesh’s entire line-up for just 93 in 27.1 overs. While opener Saif Hassan listed 43 off 54 balls at the top, none of the other Bangladeshi batters managed to hit the double digits.
Rashid Khan wrecked Bangladesh with figures of 3-12 from his six overs, as he picked up the important wickets of Towhid Hridoy, Nurul Hasan as well as well-set opener Saif. Bilal Sami, playing just his second ODI, picked up his career-best figures of 5-33 as Afghanistan clinched a historic 200-run win.
