Days after the World Cup finals heartbreak, India will take on rivals Australia in a five-game T20 series starting on November 23, 2023. Owing to a gruelling World Cup campaign, the core squad have been rested for the shorter format series. Veterans Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammad Shami, among many others, will give the series a miss.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Indian contingent for the entirety of the five-game T20 series, with Ruturaj Gaikwad serving as a deputy. Emerging stars of the IPL, Rinku Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Tilak Varma, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, amongst others, will feature in the crucial series.

However, the Aussies will pitch their regular white-ball side, which consists of multiple players from the World Cup-winning side. Thus, the home side cannot afford to take the contest for granted.

Having said that, the first T20 of the five-game series will take place at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium in Visakhapatnam on November 23, 2023, at 7 p.m. IST. As far as the weather report is concerned, showers are expected to hit the stadium vicinity.

As per AccuWeather, the chances of perspiration are 60%. However, the showers are expected to hit during the day and could clear up before the start of play. Still, cloudy and overcast conditions would prevail.

As per early predictions, rain could start pouring as early as 6 AM in the morning, then at 2 PM, and then again at 5 PM.

It is plausible for the toss to get delayed for a brief period. But the chances of a complete washout are extremely slim. So overall, the fans stand a solid chance to witness a cracking contest.

That being said, the weather scare won’t dampen the excitement and hype surrounding the contest between the arch-nemeses. The Indian side will seek redemption, whereas the Aussies will aim to reassert dominance.
