'Sudhar Jao Yaar' - Mohammed Shami Hits Back At Pakistan's Hasan Raza, Sikandar Bakht

Mohammad Shami gave a brutal response to former Pakistan cricketers over their nasty remarks and controversial allegations made against him and India's pace battery during the ICC World Cup 2023. The experienced pacer indirectly lambasted Hasan Raza and Sikandar Bakht for their horrific accusations against the Men in Blue.

After Shami emerged as a devastating figure for opposition line-ups alongside his pace partners Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, Raza had alleged that the tournament hosts were being given a special ball that swung and seamed more. The comment was criticised even by saner voices of Pakistan cricket, including legend Wasim Akram

The legendary former left-arm seamer had urged Raza, who was the youngest Test debutant, to show some decency and experience of the international stage in his opinions and not embarrass himself and the nation with such remarks.

The legendary ex-Pakistan captain was equally critical of the comments made by Bakht, who went worse than Raza and accused skipper Rohit Sharma of manipulating the toss in the semifinal played against New Zealand in Mumbai.

Shami Lashes Out At Ex Pakistan Cricketers

Having previously addressed Raza's claims in an angry social media post, Shami now responded to the distasteful and disappointing remarks by saying he felt like laughing at those accusations afterwards.

Speaking to Puma, the veteran quick said it seemed ex Pakistani cricketers couldn't digest India's greater success than their own seamers.

"Some Pakistani players couldn't digest our success at the World Cup. In their minds, they think that they are the best. However, the best is the one who performs when it matters the most," said the 33-year-old after finishing the tournament with 24 scalps in just seven matches.

"They kept on making statements and stirring up controversies by claiming that we were given a different ball. Sudhar jao yaar (improve yourself). When an ex-player talks like this, everyone will just laugh at him," he added.
