Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers bludgeoned a 41-ball century against England Champions in match number eight of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 season. Opening the innings for South Africa Champions in Leicester and chasing 153 runs for a win, de Villiers made lightwork of England’s competitive total through his turbulent knock.

Opening the innings with former national teammate Hashim Amla, the two cricketers scorched the English attack with an unbeaten 153-run partnership as South Africa Champions romped to a comfortable 10-wicket win with nearly eight overs to spare.

RCB Fire Still Burns Bright In AB De Villiers At 41!

AB de Villiers rained down 15 fours and seven huge sixes in Leicester to reach 116* from just 51 balls to blaze South Africa Champions to a 10-wicket victory. The legendary cricketer notched up his century in just 41 balls, thus igniting memories of his RCB heyday and reminding fans why he remains one of the most fearsome batters in T20 history.

Notably, at the age of 41, AB de Villiers made his return to competitive cricket through the ongoing WCL 2025 season after a gap of nearly four years. He previously played for the RCB franchise during the IPL 2021 season in the UAE.

Nonetheless, earlier in the match, South Africa Champions bowlers restricted their English counterparts to 152-6 from 20 overs. For England Champions, opener Phil Mustard top-scored in the innings with his 33-ball 39. Wayne Parnell and legendary spinner Imran Tahir picked up two wickets each for the Proteas.

While AB de Villiers did the bulk of the scoring in the South Africa Champions run-chase, his partner Hashim Amla also cracked 29* elegant runs off 25 balls with four boundaries.
