It's all we have here for this match. We will back again tomorrow with another live blog. Stay tuned to OneCricket.

11:22 PM | Though Gujarat Titans dominated entirety of the run-chase, riding on Shubman Gill's fifty, it was the final over of the match that also brought Punjab Kings in the match.

Seven were needed off six balls and it was brought up to four off two by Sam Curran, who also took a prized scalp of Shubman in the over. However, Rahul Tewatia again gave no two hoots to pressure and crunched a match-winning boundary on the penultimate delivery.

Gujarat Titans won by six wickets.

Rahul Tewatia, YOU ARE A STARRR... As he is called 'The Iceman' by many, he again delivers under extreme pressure and nails a scoop over fine-leg to get the win for Gujarat Titans.

Four needed off two balls now. Will it again be a last-ball finish?

Rahul Tewatia is GT's no.6.

Wait... What is going on? Sam Curran knocks off Shubman Gill and this game is now up for grabs, even for Punjab.

Aayush: Gujarat Titans require seven runs off six deliveries. Sam Curran will bowl the final over of the match.

11:10 PM | PBKS have taken a review for an lbw. Impact is outside and it's not-out.

That's power with class. A short delivery and Shubman employs no half measures in standing it over the deep square-leg boundary. Four more runs by Miller and GT now need 13 runs in two overs.

Aayush: 25 runs needed off 18 deliveries. It is GT's game to lose.

Woah!!! Four via a tennis player like shot by Shubman.

Aayush: Shubman is batting on 52 off 41 balls. It's his job now to see the Titans through. But Gujarat still have batting to come. Mind you, they have no opted for the Impact Player yet.

10:53 PM | Umpire signals for a strategic break.

With an inside-out shot, Shubman reaches his fifty and brings the target down by four runs.

David Miller joins Shubman Gill in the middle.

Hardik targets the long-on boundary but fails to get all of it and plays the slog straight to the fielder's hands. Brar claims a crucial wicket.

Four byes ends a 19-ball boundary drought. And one brings the second. This time off Hardik's bat.

Aayush: As cliche as it may sound, this basically is a game of wickets for Punjab. If Gujarat bat through, they will win this.

What an achievement for Rabada

Hardik Pandya is in at no.4.

A well-direct short delivery by Arshdeep and Sudharsan plays a pull only to hand an easy catch to the deep fine-leg fielder.

Sudharsan shimmies down the pitch and hits Chahar straight for a four.

Aayush: Gujarat is motoring along here and have scored above required rate. At the halfway mark, the score reads 80/1.

Time-out!

A boundary after almost three overs. And Gill again repeats it. He breaks the shackles.

Impact Player Rahul Chahar will bowl the seventh over.

Aayush: End of the powerplay and Gujarat Titans are at 56/1.

Sam Curran is the new bowler.

Sai Sudharsan walks out to bat and stamps his class without wasting any time. Cuts the ball away for a four

Saha goes for another high-risk shot. The fielder was set-up right there for a pull and he takes the catch inches away from the boundary rope. Rabada provides the breakthrough.

Harpreet Brar comes in to the attack and Shubman thumps him for a boundary straightaway.

Saha hammers Arshdeep in front of the wicket for two consecutive boundaries. Now, pulls him towards deep fine-leg and gets the same result. Follows that up by guiding a yorker-length delivery to another boundary. Four fours in the over.

On the pads and Gill whips in the mid-wicket area for a boundary.

FOUR!!! Wriddhiman Saha hits one on the up. A full delivery and he finds the gap on the off-side.

Kagiso Rabada to bowl from the other end.

Shubman Gill gets going with a boundary. First of the innings for GT.

Aayush: Punjab Kings introduce the Impact Player. Rahul Chahar replaces Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

9:40 PM | Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill are the GT openers. Arshdeep Singh will bowl the first over.

9:28 PM | Punjab Kings set a below-par total on this pitch. Matthew Short looked good in his 24-ball stay, accounting for 36 runs. Shahrukh Khan struck a few lusty blows in the end to take the Kings over the 150-run mark.

Gujarat Titans used only five bowlers in the innings and each one of them contributed in the form of wickets.

Punjab Kings finish the innings at 153/8.

Saha inflicts another run-out. Hits the stumps before the batter could run a bye.

Rishi Dhawan walks in to bat.

Shahrukh runs on a misfield, trying to sneak in a second and retain the strike but gets run-out in the process.

Harpreet Brar adds six useful runs to Punjab's total. Clears the straight boundary with ease.

Aayush: Mohit Sharma's exceptional spell comes to an end. He conceded 18 runs while also taking two wickets in four wickets.

Harpreet Brar is the no.8 for PBKS.

After taking all his time to settle in, Curran too leaves the ground and Punjab in a pickle. The ball was right there in his arc but he could not get the perfect connect and holes out at deep mid-wicket. Second wicket for Mohit.

Curran exposes the stumps but manages to edge the ball to the left of the wicket-keeper for a boundary. Shahrukh betters the over and ends it with another maximum. PBKS are 136/5 at the end of the 18th.

Shahrukh Khan is in and he starts his innings with a biggie.

Rajapaksa's misery ends. Chips a full-toss straight to the hands of the deep mid-wicket fielder. Alzarri strikes.

9:03 PM | PBKS take a review for a wide. The on-field decision stays.

Sam Curran dispatches the ball just over of the ropes for a six. Takes on Rashid and that too on the biggest part of the ground. Clears his front leg and flicks the ball nonchalantly for a maximum.

8:54 PM | Umpire signals for a strategic break. Punjab Kings are 99/4 in 15 overs.

Aayush: Rajapaksa is struggling to a limit that he is currently batting on 27 off 22 deliveries. He must up the ante now.

8:46 PM | Another review by GT. This time for an lbw. Pitching outside leg and it's not-out.

Sam Curran is the new batter.

Mohit Sharma gets his maiden IPL wicket for GT at the expense of Jitesh Sharma. The batter tries to punch a short-length ball but it catches the outside edge of the bat and gets taken by the wicket-keeper.

8:39 PM | GT have taken a review for a caught-behind. It's out.

Jitesh welcomes Shami in his second spell with a four. A back of length delivery and the batter hits it over the bowler. The luck is running in favour of Punjab as an inside-edge yields second boundary in the over.

A short delivery on the leg-stump line by Mohit. Rajapaksa waits for it and places it over short fine-leg for a boundary.

Mohit Sharma will bowl the 11th over.

Aayush: 10 overs are done and PBKS are at 75/3. The pitch is a belter but GT have picked wickets at crucial moments to inhibit Punjab.

Jitesh uses Rashid's pace to full effect and paddles the ball fine for a boundary. And now rocks back and pulls a short-pitch delivery for four more runs.

Jitesh Sharma is in at no.5 and fetches a boundary right away.

Short is a goner. A googly by Rashid and the batter could have not done much. Turns in sharply. The Aussie throws a short anticipating it to go in the other way as the ball crashes on to the stumps.

Rashid Khan is the new bowler.

Aayush: The powerplay ends with Punjab Kings at 52/2.

Time-out!

Matthew Short is showing his range. Another powerful strike down the ground adds four runs to Punjab Kings' total and brings up 50 runs for the team.

Back of length and Short tonks it away over deep mid-wicket for the first six of the match.

Joseph bowls on the pads and Short works it fine for a four.

Alzarri Joseph comes in to the attack.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa is the new batter.

Dhawan again goes down the pitch but this it leads to his fall. Tries to hit the ball on top of the mid-wicket fielder but fails in his attempt and gets caught. Little takes the wicket.

7:47 PM | GT have taken a review to challenge on-field umpire's lbw call. It's not-out.

Short plays two cracking shots through the line against Shami, who gets treated with two consecutive boundaries.

Shikhar Dhawan steps out of the crease, leans into an outswinger and drives it aerially for a four. Again a drive but this time he keeps it to the ground and places it in the gap for another boundary.

Joshua Little will bowl from the other end.

Matthew Short walks out to bat and pummels two back-to-back boundaries on both the sides of the ground.

Prabhsimran Singh departs without troubling the scorers. He tries to flick the ball but only manages to hit straight to the fielder at square-leg. Mohammad Shami makes things happen with the new ball, yet again.

7:29 PM | Shikhar Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh will open the innings for Punjab. Mohammad Shami to bowl the first over of the match.

Aayush: Kagiso Rabada and Bhanuka Rajapaksa starts in the XI but no Liam Livingstone is suprising as he could have been slotted in place of Matthew Short. As for GT, Hardik Pandya is back. And Yash Dayal has been replaced by Mohit Sharma, who makes his debut for Gujarat Titans in the IPL.

Impact Player Substitutes:

Punjab Kings: Harpreet Singh, Rahul Chahar, Sikandar Raza, Atharva Taide, Gurnoor Brar

Gujarat Titans: Vijay Shankar, Shivam Mavi, Jayant Yadav, Abhinav Manohar, KS Bharat

Playing XIs

Gujarat Titans: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, B Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammad Shami, Mohit Sharma, Joshua Little

Punjab Kings: Shikhar Dhawan (c), Prabhsimran Singh, Matthew Short, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar, Kagiso Rabada, Rishi Dhawan, Arshdeep Singh

Shikhar Dhawan (Punjab Kings Captain): It doesn't bother us. We would have also bowled first but it is a good pitch and don't think there will be dew tonight. We also have a good bowling attack. It was an off day. We guys have been playing good cricket and it's normal in these types of tournament. Once you know the conditions, it becomes easier. Also, we have got the crowd support. We have two changes- KG Rabada comes in place of Nathan and Bhanuka in place of Raza.

Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans Captain): Ah, it looks like a good wicket. Whatever I have seen, chasing has been a sort of thing here. Just looks like a very beautiful track. I think it was one in a million game, We are a team who can take those kinds of games with a big smile. It all happens, it's all fine. Tbh, we played fantastic cricket, last game and obviously, we could have done a lot of things better. Having said, a fresh game, we are not someone who will go back and get in the shell, we are going to go and throw some punches. I don't think there is any much changes except I come back in.

Toss update

Gujarat Titans opt to bowl

Pitch Report (Murali Kartik & Chris Morris): It's an absolute beauty, not for the bowlers but for the batters. I am standing here at the Yuvraj Singh stand or the Shiwalik side. To my right, 74 meters, it's a big ground. 67 meters towards my left. And that deep pocket, which is down towards the DJ, it is 79 meters. Afternoon everyone. There's quite a good covering of grass on the wicket itself. In terms of stats, it is a 50-50 split in the night game. As you said, big ground, lots of pockets, batters have to do a lot of running. The winds have been blowing, and the dew factor could be a hit or miss. 166-168 is the par score here at the venue. Anyone who wins the toss here, would want to bowl first.

Aayush: Hardik Pandya did not play the last game for GT and Rashid Khan captained the team. It is still to be known if he will back for the match. Also, Liam Livingstone has joined Punjab Kings' squad and could start his season as soon as today.

Fantasy Tips 👇

6:40 PM | Toss coming up in 20 minutes.

In the head-to-head battle, there is not much to differentiate as Punjab and Gujarat have put a win each to their account in the two matches played between them.

Although it took a Rinku Singh special for Gujarat Titans to be denied their second consecutive victory, Punjab Kings should thank Shikhar Dhawan that he saved them for what possibly could have been an even heavier thumping than an eight-wicket defeat.

Both the teams are only separated by the net run rate as after playing three matches respectively, they are standing in a comfortable position with two wins apiece.
