Keep refreshing for latest updates....

11:32 PM IST | Ninaad : If you think Rinku Singh's finish last evening was the most thrilling encounter of the season, then have a look here! A thrilling finish which had everything! The game was swinging faster than a pendulum but the Lucknow Super Giants have registered another win, this time by 1 wicket on the last ball of the match!

Excellent batting performances from Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis and later from Ayush Badoni in the later stages got LSG back in the game with Mohammed Siraj bowling at his best kept the home team in the hunt. But it was only the second occasion in IPL history where a team has won by 1 wicket off the final ball.

On a well known chasing track, LSG won the toss earlier in the evening and invited RCB to have a bat. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis played brilliantly, making full use of the field restrictions and added 96 runs for the opening stand with Kohli scoring his 46th IPL fifty on the way.

Then in came Glenn Maxwell at number 3, who tried to hit the ball powerfully straightaway. To add more joy to the home crowd, Faf du Plessis broke the shackles and joined the party, smashing Ravi Bishnoi out of the park for 115m six to complete his 27th IPL fifty. RCB went to 200 from 150 in just 15 deliveries.

Maxwell blistered his way through to his maiden IPL fifty on his home ground for RCB scoring 59 off just 29 balls including 3 fours and 6 sixes and added 115 runs with du Plessis before getting out on the penultimate ball of the innings.

Apart from Mark Wood, no one's bowling figures looked impressive. He bowled a maiden over in his four overs and went for 32 runs with a wicket added to it. Amit Mishra who was substituted yet again, bowled half his spell beautifully but was hit for a six and a four to finish with 1/18 in 2 overs.

Mohammed Siraj provided RCB with a solid start bowling Kyle Mayers for a three-ball duck in the very first over with Wayne Parnell making a comeback in the league after 2014 picking up 2 quick wickets to send Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya back.

Rahul took his time and played slowly as Marcus Stoinis came in and played a whirlwind knock of 65 in just 30 balls hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes adding 76 runs for the 4th wicket with the skipper before getting out to the impact player Karn Sharma.

Ayush Badoni, the impact player played a stellar knock under pressure hitting 30 in 24 balls and hit his final ball over the fence over fine leg but couldn't control the stroke and was out hitwicket, the first batter to get dismissed in this fashion in the ongoing season.

With 7 runs to win in 8 balls, there was another twist in the tale as 2 wickets fell in the final over in form of Mark Wood and Jaydev Unadkat but Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi kept their nerve and stole a bye on the final dramatic ball which also involved a run out attempt at the non striker's end but finally the LSG tailenders sealed the win.

As we say Drama, Drama and Drama!!!! Bishnoi was backing up at the non-stirkers end and Harshal did not dislodge the bails. Here is the final ball, Avesh misses the ball and it goes to the keeper. Karthik fumbles and the batters take a single of the bye. The match is over and Avesh Khan throws down his helmet in celebration. WHAT A WIN and WHAT A DRAMATIC END. We had it all in this match. However, RCB in the end with their bizarre planning and eventual habit of crumbling under pressure lose this match.

Here we go..... OH MAN!!!! this match never seems to end. Short ball on the off stump line. Unadkat gets a top edge to long on and Du Plessis takes the catch. A wicket falls and ARE WE IN FOR A SUPER OVER!!!!!?????? DRAMA AND MORE DRAMA IN THIS MATCH.

A single and so LSG is just one more run away from an epic victory. Two outstanding deliveries here from Harshal would mean a super over.

Yorer ball on off stump. Bishnoi pushes this to point region and sets of for a single. The RCB fielding conceded two useless runs and now Can we say this match is at last over? Two runs needed to win off 3 balls.

BOWLEDDD "EMMMMM Mark Wood misses the full toss from Harshal Patel and the ball rattles the stumps. This match is far far from being over. Wait for it man, wait for it.

5 Runs needed to win off the last over. This seems completely in favour of LSG. But the name of the other team is RCB, so expected the unexpected.

OHH!!! HIT WICKET!!!!! Yorker ball on the middle stump and Badoni scooped it for a six. But the bat hit the stumps and instead of the match being over it has become even more interesting. 7 Runs needed of 8 balls.

FOUR!!!! And Badoni does the job for LSG here. Slower ball outside the off stump. Badoni moves across the line and swats the ball to the mid-wicket fence for four runs.

Two wide to start of the 19th over. 13 runs to win off 12 balls now for LSG. Pressure is telling on Wayne Parnell.

So 15 runs needed of the last two overs. Probably Wayne Parnell will bowl this over, followed by Harshal Patel in the last over.

FOUR!!! That releases the pressure. Although he got it off the outside edge, but that keeps the match alive. Unadkat will just have to keep doing this.

24 Runs needed off 18 balls for LSG. The game is pretty nicely poised here.

WICKET!!!! Full toss ball at the pads of the batter. Pooran lofts it  to the sqaure leg region. He did not time it well and the catch was taken in the deep. But the umpire is checking for the waist height no-ball. The replays show that it was at a legitimate height and Pooran has to depart. The man who changed the game has been dismissed here.

So destructive Nicholas Pooran has brought down the taregt to 28 runs off 24 balls. Much needed time out for RCB!!!

42 runs to win off 30 balls. This has changed to rapidly. Pooran is destroying the RCB bowlers here.

SIX!!!!! Good length ball around the off stump line. Nicholas Pooran lofts it over long-on for six runs and brings up the fastest fifty of IPL 2023. This is some batting by Pooran, he has changed the complexion of the match in moments.

Nicholas Pooran is really fighting it out for his team. Six overs left in the match and LSG need 59 runs to win this match. Harshal Patel has given away 35 runs in his two overs.

If anyone can still do this for LSG, it is Nicholas Pooran. One more six and he is keeping the Super Giants in the match.

SIXXX!!!! Good length ball at the pads of the batter. Pooran sweeps this over deep square leg for six runs.

FOUR RUNS!!!! And with that Nicholas Pooran brings up his 100 runs in the IPL.

GONE!!!!! KL Rahul goes!!!! Now RCB is pulling the match in their favour again. Good length ball at the pads of the batter, Rahul plays his famous pick up flick but does not time it properly. Kohli was waiting in the deep and takes an easy catch to end Rahul's dismal stay in the middle.

SIX!!! Of the second delivery by Nicholas Pooran. Good length ball at the pads of the batter and Pooran slams that out of the mid-wicket fence for six runs.

WICKET!!!! Stoinis walks back and Karn Sharma picks up the big man. The man who was changing the game on its head has been dismissed. Now KL Rahul will play a major role in winning the match and he will have Nicholas Pooran with him.

One more SIX!!!!! The HULK is really turning it on. A match that looked over a few minutes back is changing colours pretty quickly.

Stoinis is fighting still now. Another six here and LSG crawling back into the competition. The stage is being set up for Nicholas Pooran to come and finishing the match off for LSG.

SIX!!! Full ball outside the off stump. Stoinis lofts it over extra covers for six runs. He brings up his fifty with that off just 25 balls.

Time out!!! LSG are 76 for 3 in 9 overs. They need 137 runs to win off 66 balls. Marcus Stoinis and KL Rahul will have to do the majority of the task from here on.

SIX!!! Timed the bones out if it has Stoinis. Short ball at the leg stump and he pulls it over the mid-wicket fence for six runs. He does not stop there, follows it with a four over the bowlers head.

17 runs off that first over by Harshal Patel. 8 overs gone by and 60 runs on the board for LSG.

SIX!!! Harshal Patel comes into the attack and Stoinis welcomes him with a maximum. Good length ball and a slower one at the pads. The Aussie all-rounder plays a pick up flicks for six runs. He follows it up with a boundary in the backward point region. One more boundary here, full ball and drilled straight to the long-off fence for four runs. Stoinis is shifting gears fast here.

FOUR of the last ball of the powerplay. The powerplay ends for LSG at 37 for 3. This is no where near the start they needed to end up even close to the target.

The fifth over ends here and this LSG innings is going no where. Just 30 runs for the loss of three wickets and you are chasing 214 runs. A totally shambolic start for LSG.

Another one, Wayne Parnell picks up the second wicket of the over. This match is getting over quickly. Just not right kind of start you hope to get while chasing such a big target.

This is how Mohammed Siraj picked up the first wicket

WICKET!!!! LSG is losing the plot here. Runs are not coming and they have lost the second wicket. Deepak Hooda gets an outside edge that DK holds onto and RCB is dominating the contest.

FOUR!!!! That was a wonderful pick up flick by Deepak Hooda. It was a good length ball at the pads and Hooda spotted the length pretty early to get the boundary of it.

Wayne Parnell in action on his RCB debut.

16 Runs in three overs and LSG is digging their hole pretty early in the chase.

Great effort by Harshal Patel in the deep but that was a boundary. This might give some confidence to KL and the momentum that he needs to get going.

10 runs off the first two over and LSG already feeling the scoreboard pressure on themselves.

Rahul gets off the mark but was safe just by inches. A direct throw onto the stumps and he was gone by at least a metre and a half.

5 Runs off the first over and a wicket. Just the start RCB needed in this innings.

BOWLEDDDD HIMMM!!!!!! Chopped on. Back of a length ball outside the off stump. Mayers looks to push it to the off side but gets an inside edge onto the stumps. RCB start the second innings on a high with a wicket in the third ball of the first over.

Mohammed Siraj to start the proceedings for LSG. Kyle Mayers and KL Rahul need to give a flairy but solid start to the team in order to make a match out of this mountain of a target.

RCB bring in the impact player. Karn Sharma comes into the field in place of Anuj Rawat.

We are set for the chase to begin....

image-lgb0xmvxRCB have posted 212 runs in 20 overs agains LSG (Source: OneCricket)

9:17 PM IST: Akshaya | What an electrifying batting display from the top three batters of Royal Challengers Bangalore! They post 212/2 in their allotted 20 overs as all of the RCB's top three hammered fifties!

LSG won the toss earlier in the evening and invited RCB to have a bat. The hosts’ openers, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis played brilliantly, making full use of the field restrictions and scoring 56 runs in the first six overs, with the former being the aggressor. But as the spinners came along, the innings slowed as the openers milked only singles off them. As soon as Virat reached his 46th IPL fifty, he tried to shift the gears again. In doing so, King Kohli holed out to Stoinis in the deep as Amit Mishra broke the 96-run opening stand.

Once this partnership kicked off, there was no one stopping. Each and every bowler of LSG were taken to the cleaners by this duo as they went onto 200 from 150 in just 15 deliveries.

Maxwell blistered his way through to his maiden IPL fifty on his home ground M.Chinnaswamy Stadium and scored 59 off just 29 balls including 3 fours and 6 sixes. During the second-wicket partnership between Maxwell and du Plessis, RCB garnered 115 runs at a rapid pace.

Mark Wood broke this stand by uprooting Maxwell's leg stump in the penultimate delivery of the innings. Dinesh Karthik got only a single off the final ball as RCB posted a mammoth total on the board with their skipper reaming unbeaten on 79 off 46 deliveries.

Apart from Mark Wood, no one's bowling figures looked impressive. He bowled a maiden over in his four overs and went for 32 runs with a wicket added to it.

This is known to be a chasing ground and LSG have the fire-power in them. Can RCB stop LSG from hunting down this huge score, or do LSG dominate the chase in between the away crowd? Join us in ten minutes for the run chase!

A single and that marks the end of the RCB innings. They have posted a mammoth total of 212 runs in their 20 overs. It will take some doing for LSG to climb this mountain.

Six and that is followed by a brilliant come back by Mark Wood. Maxwell hooked a short ball over fine leg for six in the previous ball and Wood came back with a length delivery at full pace. Maxwell went across the line of the ball and it went past the blade shattering the stumps behind him. But before being dismissed he has pretty well done his job.

Review taken for a caught behind here. It was a fair delivery and the ultra edge shows that there was no bat involved in it. Maxwell survives for the last three deliveries and need maximise it.

100 runs partnership between Maxwell and Faf du Plessis. It has come in just 44 balls.

MAXWELL shows his bottom hand power there. Full ball and Maxwell juts times it over the bowler's head for six runs. One more six and MAXI brings up his half-century here. 24 balls for his fifty and MAXI has very well joined the party.

23 runs off that over by Jaydev Undakat. Maxi and Faf have hit the bones out of the bowler. 210-220 looks achievable here for RCB. They need it to successfully defend it on a flat deck like this.

DROPPED!!!! Krunal Pandya drops the catch of Maxwell. He slices a full toss ball outside the off stump and the batter slices it to the deep point region where Krunal fails to hold on. Adding salt to injury, Faf hits a six of the very next ball and brings up his 300th six in T20 cricket. And one more, two consecutive sixes here by Du Plessis.

RCB are stationed at 160 for 1 in 17 overs. They will be looking to score at least 50 Runs in the last 3 overs.

A look back at the 115-metres by Faf du Plessis.

RCB has scored 50 runs in the last 20 balls, this is some shift of gears by Maxi and Faf.

MAXWELL hits that for a long six. Now it feels like the game is being played at the Chinnaswamy stadium.

LSG Impact substitution: Ayush Badoni comes in place of Amit Mishra.

image-lgazaadp

Faf has picked up the pace now and just at the right moment. One more six here by the RCB skipper. With that he brings up his half-century. This exactly RCB needed and just at the right moment has the momentum shifted for them.

RCB: 131/1 (15 Overs)
Glenn Maxwell - 21 (12), Faf du Plessis - 46 (34)

Third SIX of the over and this time it is Maxwell. The momentum have changed suddenly after the first ball of the match. The second strategic time out has been taken and RCB will planning to carry this momentum on as the play resumes after this break.

SIX!!!! Faf delivers at last. Short ball outside the off stump. He puts his full weight behind the shot and lofts this over extra cover for six runs. As I say, he follows it up with another six. One more short ball at the leg stump, this time Du Plessis pulls it over mid-wicket for six runs and it was a whopping 115 metres SIX!!!!

Maxi might look to play out the last over of Ravi Bishnoi.

FOUR!!! Maxwell brings up a much needed boundary for RCB here. He slices the ball over the infield and then follows it up with a lethal hit over long on. A four and a six on the trot. MAXI is bringing back mobility into the RCB innings.

Here is a montage of Virat Kohli setting the stage on fire 🔥🔥

Just 12 runs have been scored off the last 15 balls and they have lost a wicket. The spinners have brought LSG right back into the game.

Mark Wood clocks 150.3 kmph here!!!!

Akshaya: Faf du Plessis said at the toss that Mahipal Lomror will bat at 3. But seeing the situation of the game, Maxwell comes ahead of Lomror.

WICKET!!! Kohli departs and Mishi strikes. Good length ball on the middle stump by Amit Mishra. Kohli looks to go over the mid-wicket fence but does not time it properly and Marcus Stoinis takes an easy catch in the deep. So, 'VK18' walks back after giving a flary start to his team. They now need to pan the innings out perfectly so as to reach a healthy totals. Glenn Maxwell has walked out there.

87 runs have been scored of the first 10 overs. They have 10 wickets in hand and now should look to attack the bowlers from now on. With this king of start, RCB should at least be targetting 220 at the end of the 20 overs.

And now Faf joins the party. He gets a boundary after a long, it was much needed for him as he was struggling to get going. This will give him some rhythm to work with.

It seems like something is going to give here. And as I say, Virat Kohli brings up a six and mobilises the scoreboard a bit. He is setting up for a big one now.

There comes the fifty for Virat Kohli. Thats is the 46th IPL fifty for the undisputed 'King'.

Akshaya | 8:07 PM IST : RCB are milking singles now. Need to continue the momentum that was there during the field restrictions. I guess once Virat crosses 50, he will start again.

Faf now needs to get going. 16 runs off 16 balls and RCB is losing the momentum as the skipper is failing to shift gears.

A good over by Ravi Bishnoi there. Six runs came off the over, and it seems like Kohli and Faf will be mostly looking to play him out.

Ravi Bishnoi comes into the attack. It will be interesting to see how these two batters play him.

End of the powerplay here. 56 runs of the first six over and RCB are of to a flying start. LSG decided to take the first strategic time out here. A tactical call may be in order to break the rhytm of the batters.

The duo have brough up the fifty partnership for the first wicket. And guess what!!?? Faf has scored just 11 runs in this partnership.

OH WHAT A SHOT!!!! The Kohli domination of Mark Wood cotinues. He lofts the full ball on off stump over the bowler's head for four runs. OH MAN!!! He follows it up with a wonderful six. Short ball and Kohli pulls this over mid-wicket for six runs.

Mark Wood is here and starts with a yorker at the middle stump. Faf flicks it away for a single.

SIX!!!! Kohli has already given RCB a scintillating start. He need to stay there and make it big.

The excitement can be noticed in the social media amongst the fans. Things are all setting up for a Kohli special. He is looking in brilliant touch, while at the other end Faf is struggling to get going.

Eight runs of that over. The RCB opening pair is intact at 33 after 4 overs.

And VINTAGE KOHLI!!!!! Avesh has been creamed through covers by the 'King👑'.

Probuddha | 7:43 PM IST: That is Virat Kohli at his best. Good length ball and Kohli drives it on the up through covers four runs. He is looking in seriously good touch today.

Faf du Plessis ends the third over with another boundary. So after the end of the three overs the score for RCB is 25 and the opening pair is still intact.

King Kohli's start is drawing the fans into the match...

So after the end of the first two overs, RCB are 17 for no loss. They will be looking to build on the foundation and then go for the accleration with Maxwell at the back end.

SIXXXX!!!! The 'King' is off the blocks. Short ball at the helmet of the batter, Kohli pulls it and gets a top edge over the fine leg fence for six runs. There he goes again and follows it up with a four. He is looking in great touch!!!!

Faf du Plessis completes 3500 IPL runs with that last single.

That is the end of the first over. A good start by Jaydev Undakat, he hit the correct lengths and did not allow the batters to get off the block easily.

Here goes the first ball of the match. Good length ball on the off stump. Kohli drives it to covers off the front foot. The whole crowd is cheering for the 'KING' and they will be hoping for some great show by him.

7:29 PM | IST: Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis are walking out there and the action is set to begin.

Probuddha: So we are all set for the match to begin. LSG will be looking for a good start from their bowlers.

Virat Kohli vs Avesh Khan (in IPL): 10 balls, 5 runs, 2 dismissals

Head to Head

The two teams have squared off twice against each other and both the times RCB were victorious. In fact, the Red Army knocked them out of the Eliminator last season, thanks to a blazing ton by Rajat Patidar. Can LSG break the hudoo?

This is Probuddha Bhattacharjee and I'll take you through each and every moment from this riveting battle between two champion sides.

LSG on the other hand have been dominant at their home, but lost their only game of the IPL away to CSK. KL Rahul hasn't score runs in the tournament, but will be eager to kick-start the IPL against one of his favourite opponent.

AAAND IPL is back in Chinnaswamy with the hope that their side can re-launch the IPL title campaign with a comeback win. After a thrashing of the five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians, the Faf du Plessis led side came crashing down when Lord Shardul showed them the exit door and the team succumbed under pressure to lose the second match.
