India kept the momentum going as Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma rotated the strike efficiently. Bartlett’s over saw Shreyas push and flick for a couple while leaving and defending balls with soft hands. Rohit picked up singles and timed a crisp flick past mid-on. 

The introduction of Adam Zampa brought spin into the attack, but Rohit immediately punished a full toss with a delicate sweep for four, while keeping the strike with smart singles. By the end of the 21st over, India had moved to 92/2, with both batters looking settled and building a solid platform.

Rohit found his rhythm against Mitchell Owen in the next over, unleashing consecutive sixes over deep square leg and forward square leg, along with a couple of quick singles. 

Both batters timed their shots well, punishing short balls and overpitched deliveries alike. By the end of the 19th over, India had raced to 83/2, showing signs of consolidating after early setbacks.

The 15th and 16th over saw India inch forward cautiously against a disciplined Australian attack. In a tightly contested over, Hazlewood continued to trouble India’s top order. Shreyas Iyer managed a single with a thick outside edge to deep third man, while Rohit Sharma faced a barrage of testing deliveries. A couple of lbw and caught-behind appeals went Australia’s way, but both reviews were wasted as the umpire turned them down. 

Rohit survived on the back thigh pad and inside edge despite being beaten multiple times outside the off stump. He managed just two runs with a flick to long leg, leaving India under pressure at 11.6 overs with limited scoring opportunities.

But Hazlewood hit back in trademark fashion, tightening his line and length around the off stump. 

He got one to seam away, another to nip back in sharply, constantly testing Rohit’s technique. Iyer then faced the heat, beaten comprehensively by a beauty that jagged in off the seam and whistled past his stumps. Precision, movement, and menace, Hazlewood owned that over despite conceding just five runs.

A testing over from Bartlett to Rohit Sharma, full of movement and frustration for the Indian skipper. It began with a wayward wide down leg, but what followed was relentless accuracy. Bartlett kept hitting that good length just outside off, mixing in the occasional fuller ball. 

Rohit looked uncertain, poking and prodding with no real conviction, a few inside edges, a couple of thigh-pad thuds, and several misses outside off told the story. Bartlett consistently hovered around the 128–131 kph mark, getting the ball to nip both ways. In the end, just one run from the over, pure pressure.
