The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season kicked off in grand fashion, with an eye pleasing opening ceremony that took place before the first game.
The biggest extravaganza of India witnessed high-profile celebrities who graced the Narendra Modi Stadium. The likes of Arijit Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandhana made the opening ceremony an auspicious day for the cricketing fans.
A fully packed crowd inside the stadium were given a treat in the form of some great songs sung by Arijit Singh and brilliant dance moves by Rashmika and Tamanna.
BCCI President, Roger Binny, Secretary Jay Shah and other Board dignitaries graced their presence for the opening contest between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT). Renowned Television presenter Mandira Bedi hosted the opening ceremony of the Indian Extravaganza.
Gujarat Titans are the defending champions and will aim to kick-start their title defence with a win over four-time champions CSK.
