Jos Buttler was bought by Gujarat Titans for a whopping INR 15.75 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction held on 24th November 2024. Rajasthan Royals tried to retain him but were eventually outbid by the Titans. The price reflected Buttler's consistent performances and reputation as one of the best T20 players in the world.

Jos Buttler's most runs in a single IPL season came in 2022 when he had an exceptional campaign for Rajasthan Royals. Buttler finished the season with a total of 863 runs, making it the third-highest runs scorer per season in IPL history, behind Virat Kohli's record of 973 runs in 2016. 

His tally in 2022 included four centuries, making him the first overseas player to score four hundred in a single IPL season. His consistency and explosive performances were key to Rajasthan's journey to the final, and he was awarded the Orange Cap for the season's highest run-score.
