There has been some confusion regarding India captain Rohit Sharma playing for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. However, the truth is that a different player with the same name is representing Haryana in their match against Karnataka.

Who Is The Rohit Sharma Playing For Haryana?

The Rohit Sharma playing for Haryana is a 31-year-old wicketkeeper-batter. He is a right-handed batter who has been active in domestic cricket but has never played for India at the international level. In first-class cricket, he has scored 1,658 runs in 42 innings with a strike rate of 74.29, while in List A cricket, he has 581 runs in 28 innings.

While his numbers in domestic cricket are decent, he is not the same Rohit Sharma who captains Team India.

Where is the Real Rohit Sharma Playing?

Meanwhile, India’s real Rohit Sharma has always played for Mumbai in domestic tournaments. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy, he was last seen playing for Mumbai against Jammu & Kashmir, where he struggled to make an impact, scoring only 31 runs across two innings.
