In the latest reports from the Australian camp, Josh Inglis has been ruled out due to injury. This might turn out to be a big opportunity for all-rounder Cameron Green.

Green has proved himself as a top order batter in the series against India. In absence of David Warner he was sent to open the innings for the team and Green grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

Since his explosive display in the series, there has been talks revolving around Green making it to the World Cup 2022 squad. Here is a look at Green's exploits in the series against India.

Besides his record, it was his fearless batting that impressed the cricket fans. If he is in drafted in as a replacement of Inglis, he will be adding a great flexibility to the squad.

Dynamism Green brings to the Australian squad

  • He could be included in the playing eleven as a pinch-hitter to give them dynamic starts.
  • Cameron Green is also very capable with the ball in hand. If an all-rounder from the main squad is out of form or gets injured he can replace them.
  • His presence will also ensure that he can come down the order and give Australia some strong finishes.

The only factor that could concern Australia is that, if Matthew Wade gets injured, they will not be having a proper replacement for him. But Inglis's injury will surely be a big opportunity for Cameron Green who is the biggest contender to come in as a replacement in the squad.
