The ninth match is scheduled to be played on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, at Boland Park in Paarl. Both sides will meet again in the reverse fixture next week on Wednesday, the 24th at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Leus du Plooy (JSK)

Batting at no. four, Leus du Plooy struck 48 off just 24 with six fours and two maximums against MI Cape Town. Early days but the left-hander batter has so far managed to score the most runs for the Super Kings. The 29-year old will look to handle the middle-order to perfection and guide his side home while chasing a big target.

Moeen Ali (JSK)

After scoring just 11 of 8 against MI Cape Town, England all-rounder Moeen Ali smashed 36 off 26 with one four and three maximums against Durban Super Giants. The 36-year old veteran is a crucial and vital cog in this Super Kings line-up with both bat and ball. Moeen will look for a better all-rounder performance for his side against the Royals.

David Miller (PR)

Royals skipper David Miller has looked in solid touch in both matches played so far. The left-handed player slammed 41 off 33 with four fours against Pretoria Capitals. The 34-year old then hammered an unbeaten 75 off 42 which included eight fours and three sixes against the Capitals again. Paarl would hope that their captain lead their side from the front with another significant score.

Mitchell Van Buuren (PR)

Mitchell Van Buuren has hit the second-most runs for the Royals after Miller so far. The right-handed batter scored 28 off 21 against the Capitals. Buuren then struck an unbeaten 72 off just 40 which included seven fours and three sixes against the same opposition. The 25-year old youngster would hope to keep contributing for his side in this fixture as well.

Jos Buttler (PR)

England's limited-overs captain Jos Buttler has managed to score 53 runs so far in two matches. The destructive right-handed player amassed 14 against the Capitals and then hit 39 against the same side. The 33-year old opening batter is a quality and proven performer in this format. Buttler has looked in touch in both outings and would now like to convert those starts into a substantial score. The explosive opener is a perfect pick for this category.

Reeza Hendricks (JSK)

After bagging a duck against MI Cape Town, Reeza Hendricks scored 38 off 32 with the help of two fours and a maximum against Durban Super Giants. The 34-year old right-handed opening batter is a regular member in the Super Kings line-up. Hendricks is a quality T20 player as he is a worthy choice for this category.
