The SA20 bonanza peaks as the contests come thick and fast with match eight set to witness the MI Cape Town (MICT) go one-on-one against Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) in Newlands, Cape Town. The mouth-watering contest is set to slate at 9:00 PM IST. 

The Eastern Cape did not get to a good start as they incurred a thrashing defeat against the Durban Super Giants after the season's curtain raiser was abandoned against Joburg Super Kings. They have one point from two matches and will be all guns blazing to open their winning account. Meanwhile, the MI-based side had their first taste of victory against the Joburg Super Kings by a massive 98 runs. Currently, they have five points from a couple of matches and are located third in the points table.

The surface at Newlands are quite suited to the pacers. They tend to get adequate movement especially the lights. The spinners get decent help as well. Batting is more easier during the first innings on this venue in white ball contests.

The Cape Town based side have a good bowling unit that has the capability to deliver irrespective of the toss. The likes of Kagiso Rabada, Beuran Hendricks and Sam Curran will be key in their pace department. Also, batters such as Ryan Rickelton and Rassie van der Dussen are in brilliant form with the bat.

Marco Jansen (SEC): The tall all-rounder is one of the MVPs of the franchise. He can bat, he can bowl and is above par with his fielding antics too. Jansen is a consistent name under the wickets column and would look to threaten the edges of the batters with the new ball more often than not. Also, the youngster's batting has improved by leaps and bounds.

Kagiso Rabada (MICT): The South African experienced pacer is one of the best in the business in World cricket. Rabada was in amusing form during the recently concluded Test series against India. He has the ability to bowl across various phases and break building partnerships. Rabada has bagged 14 wickets in his last ten matches with an economy of 7.22.

Aiden Markram (SEC): The skipper of the franchise pulled off a heist in the last edition's playoffs when he notched up a brilliant ton to take his team to the finals. He would like to lead the team from the front again. There should not any doubts about Markram the white-ball batter. Moreover, he has become more handy with his finger spin and tends to scalp wickets in crucial times.

Liam Livingstone (MICT): The English all-rounder is one of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball. He is likely to bat in the middle order again and can rack quick runs off the bat. Livingstone is also more than handy as a bowler and can vary the leg-breaks and off-breaks very wisely. 

Tristan Stubbs (SEC): The young wicketkeeper-batter scored an outstanding 55 off 26 deliveries in the last assignment against Durban Super Giants. He played a matured knock and accelerated with time with three fours and four sixes. Stubbs can also come in handy with his part-time finger spin.
