The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be taking on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). This match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 24th at 7:30 PM IST.

Ahead of the game, here is a look at the important player stats, top captain and vice-captain choices and the players you can avoid as the C or VC for the match.

SRH vs RR Toss Factor

The toss might play a role in the outcome of this game. In IPL 2024, 71 percent of the games have been won by the chasing team (at Chepauk). This is a significant number that the captains will keep in mind while going for the toss.

Scenario: If Sunrisers Hyderabad win the toss

  • It will be interesting to see what SRH do on winning the toss. They have defended well in the tournament, but going by their strength proved to be a boomerang for SRH in Qualifier 1.
  • Irrespective of the toss result, Heinrich Klaasen, Travis Head and Nitish Reddy will be the safest choices as the C or VC from SRH batting.
  • As far as the SRH bowling is concerned, T Natarajan could be a great option as the C or VC.

Scenario: If Rajasthan Royals win the toss

  • Chasing has worked for the Royals in IPL 2024, and Sanju Samson will look to repeat it in this game. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag will be the safest C or VC options from the RR batting.
  • Sandeep Sharma and Avesh Khan could be rewarding as the C or VC from the RR bowling.

SRH vs RR Top Captain and Vice-captain Picks

Scenario: If Sunrisers Hyderabad win the match

Travis Head (SRH)

The Aussie opener firing at the top of the order has been a prime reason for SRH's success in the tournament. Though Travis Head has not scored a single run in the last two knocks, he is still a good option as the C or VC for the fantasy contests.

Heinrich Klaasen (SRH)

While Travis Head has been SRH's strength at the top of the order, Heinrich Klaasen has been their middle-order enforcer. The South African batter also has the form with him and will be one of the safer choices as the C or VC for the match.

Scenario: If Rajasthan Royals win the match

Riyan Parag (RR)

The young Indian all-rounder has been in fine batting form through out the tournament. Riyan Parag has played brilliant knocks under pressure and shown great temperament. He is the safest C or VC option from the RR team.

Sanju Samson (RR)

The RR-skipper has lost a bit of touch in the last couple of games. However, Sanju Samson's form has been brilliant in the tournament. He could be a rewarding choice as a point multiplier in the game.

T Natarajan (SRH)

Only a few fantasy players will use a bowler as their C or VC. But T Natarajan's form and the expected playing conditions make him a great option as the point mulitiplier.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore (RR)

The hard-hitting English opener has not impressed much after being drafted into the playing unit to replace Jos Buttler. However, TKC can destroy bowling attacks on his day and hence could be a risk worth taking.

SRH vs RR Stay Aways

Sanvir Singh (SRH)

This young Indian all-rounder has not impressed much with the bat, and the team has not used his overs with the ball. Given his current form, Sanvir Singh could be ignored as a C or VC.

Dhruv Jurel (RR)

Barring one decent knock, Dhruv Jurel has had an average IPL season. His form does not make him a prime C or VC choice for the match.
