Following three-plus weeks of rigorous action in the second edition of the ILT20, we are finally down to the finalists. The MI Emirates (EMI) will square off against Dubai Capitals (DUB) in the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai and the action is slated to begin at 8:00 PM IST.

The Emirates made it to finals after winning the Qualifier 1 match against Gulf Giants following both teams finishing at the top two in the league stages. Meanwhile, the Capitals worked hard to get to the main event stage as they hustled to make it to the top four in the league stages and then followed it by back-to-back knockout wins against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Giants.

ILT20 2024 Final | EMI vs DUB- Toss Factor

The Dubai International Stadium initially saw the team batting second chase and win most games. However, the table has turned and now the pitch is favouring the bowlers more during the second innings. With the batters facing challenge against spinners and good change of pace, it will be interesting to see how the picture forms in the final.

Scenario: If MI Emirates field first

The Emirates boast a strong line-up that is well balanced. They have a lot of Caribbean firepower in Kieron Pollard Nicholas Pooran, DJ Bravo, Ocean Smith, Akela Hosein and Andre Fletcher. Their spinners have been very good along with Trent Boult and Fazalhaq Farooqi to ease things for their batters.

Scenario: If Dubai Capitals field first

The Capitals form a strong top and middle order batting with few of the best finishers of modern generation that Includes Dasun Shanaka and Sikandar Raza. Although their bowling doesn't consist of huge names but they have acted well as a unit so far.

Sikandar Raza (DUB): The Pakistan-bred has been sensational with both bat and ball during the second season of IlT20. Having scalped twelve wickets, he is the second-best bowler for his franchise. Raza is also their best run-getter with 303 runs from ten innings.

Waqar Salemkheil (EMI): The Afghan wrist spinner has been outstanding with his mix of wrong'un and leg-breaks. He has often outwitted some big players in the tournament and has been stellar during the middle overs phase. Salemkheil has bagged 16 wickets from ten innings and is MI's leading wicket-taker.

Scott Kuggeleijn (DUB): The Kiwi  pacer has transpired his Super Smash good form into the lucrative UAE-based league. Having bagged 13 scalps from just seven matches, the right-arm pacer is the leading wicket-taker for the Capitals. He has often produced wicket-taking deliveries with both new and old ball.

Trent Boult (EMI): Another New Zealand cricketer in the list and this time from the MI Emirates. Boult is one of the best threats any team could boast off with the new ball attack. The left-arm pacer has snapped 14 wickets in the tourney and has been stupendous during the powerplay and slog overs.

Nicholas Pooran (EMI): The swashbuckler could be a game-changer on his day. Although Pooran has had ups down in the ongoing season, the left-handed batter has managed to stockpile 297 runs from nine innings. In addition, the southpaw has the best strike rate (164.09) between both teams for batters among have featured in more than five innings.

Jason Holder (DUB): The tall all-rounder did not have a tournament to remember as per his calibre. But Holder's all-round ability could be a differential factor as the experienced campaigner may turn out to be  influential with both bat and ball.
