SIX vs STR, Match 11: Venue Analysis

The historic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) usually offers a solid batting track. Runs scoring are easy on this surface and the batters enjoy their time in the middle. Both sides managed to surpass the 165-run mark in the only game played so far at the venue in BBL 13.

SIX vs STR, Match 11 - Toss Factor

As mentioned above, this could be a high-scoring encounter considering the nature of the surface. The captain winning the toss will look to bowl first and have a target in front of him.

Scenario: If Sydney Sixers Fields First

Experienced campaigner Ben Dwarshuis has picked up five wickets in two matches so far in BBL 13. The left-arm seam bowler has been with the Sydney side for some time now as he is a crucial bowler for them. The Sixers would hope he continues picking up wickets against the Strikers as well. Wicketkeeper batter Josh Philippe will be key in a big run-chase for Sydney at home.

Scenario: If Adelaide Strikers Fields First

Tall pacer Jamie Overton was the pick of the Adelaide bowlers for his spell of 2/29 (4) against Sydney Thunder in the ongoing tournament. Wes Agar and Cameron Boyce will also be the main bowlers for the Strikers against the Sixers.

Scenario: If Adelaide Strikers Fields First

Matthew Short (STR)

Matthew Short is the skipper of the Adelaide side this season. The right-handed opening batter averages 25 with one century and seven half-centuries for the franchise. Short led his side from the front by smashing 82 off just 41 which included five fours and six maximums against the Thunder last time out this season. Short is a perfect pick for this category.

D'Arcy Short (STR)

D'Arcy Short also supported his captain superbly in the above-mentioned Thunder game. The 33-year old left-handed opening player struck 66 off 47 with the help of six fours and two sixes. D'Arcy will be looking to provide yet another solid start with his skipper especially if the Strikers are up against a big target.

Scenario: If Sydney Sixers Fields First

Josh Philippe (SIX)

Josh Philippe has smashed over 2000 runs for the franchise now. The right-handed opening batter is averaging 30 with 16 half-centuries to his name. Philippe has got starts in both matches this season with scores of 29 (17) and 16 (13). The 26-year old will look to convert his starts into a substantial score in this fixture.

Moises Henriques (SIX)

Veteran all-rounder Moises Henriques is the leader of the pack. The right-handed player scored 40 off 32 against Melbourne Renegades and 20 against the Hurricanes in this campaign. The 36-year old would be hoping to add more to his tally by getting big runs under his belt.

SIX vs STR, Match 11 - Big Risk, Big Return Choices

James Vince (SIX)

England international James Vince has now got two low scores of 1 and 5 under his belt this season. The right-handed top-order batter is due for a big knock and he might just produce that in this tie. Vince has over 1500 runs to his name which also includes eight half-centuries for the Sixers franchise.

Chris Lynn (STR)

Explosive right-handed batter Chris Lynn is the leading run-getter in the history of the Big Bash League. The experienced campaigner has scored over 3400 runs with one century and 27 fifties. Lynn got dismissed for 14 off 17 against the Thunder but will now look to convert his start into a big one.
