Indian cricket veterans, including captain Rohit Sharma and modern-day batting behemoth Virat Kohli starred in a hilarious Dream11 commercial for the impending 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. In a 90-second video, the two legendary cricketers, alongside blistering wicketkeeper-batters Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, seemingly forgot about India’s 2024 T20 World Cup triumph last year in a bid to signify the importance of the upcoming knockout event in Pakistan and in the UAE.

Kohli and Rohit Sharma forget India’s T20 World Cup win

Rohit Sharma led the Indian team to 2024 T20 World Cup glory in the West Indies last year. His teammate Virat Kohli won the ‘Player of the Match’ in a high-octane final against South Africa for composing a well-paced 76.

Apparently, both cricketers, as well as Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul forgot about India’s historic triumph in the Caribbean during a 90-second Dream11 commercial for ICC’s next big-ticket event, the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. However, in a sudden twist, Kohli and Sharma dramatically revealed in the commercial that it is important for the competing players to forget about past glory in a bid to focus on each game of the impending eight-team knockout event in Pakistan and in the UAE.

Team India, once again set to be led by Rohit Sharma, is clubbed in Group A of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy alongside Bangladesh, New Zealand and tournament co-hosts and perennial arch-rivals Pakistan.

India’s opening match of the competition will be hosted by the Dubai International Stadium on February 20 against Bangladesh. The venue will also host India’s subsequent Group A fixtures against Pakistan and New Zealand on February 23 and March 2 respectively.
