Allu Arjun on Friday (October 27) sent special birthday wishes to Australian batting stalwart David Warner, who happens to be a huge fan of the immensely popular Telugu film star.

Warner, who has been seen dancing and replicating the signature step used in Arjun's viral song 'Teri Jhalak' from the blockbuster movie 'Pushpa' on the cricket field, got one of his favourite film icons sending heartfelt wishes on his 37th birthday.

After warming cricket lovers with funny clips of song and dance with his young family on TikTok at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Warner has continued with his jovial avatar on the field in Australian colours and is observed doing Arjun's famous foot-drag step for the Pushpa song at opportune moments.

Even the DJs present on Indian grounds have picked up the trend and play the Pushpa song between breaks when Warner is present at the ground. Twice in the ongoing ICC World Cup, the explosive player has even mimicked Arjun's dance step and the viral neck-slicing gesture after reaching his milestone.

Warner's keen interest in Telugu films had initially taken fans by a huge surprise but has since become a thing of amusement for cricket lovers, who now await the cricketer's milestone moments and his break from fielding duties between overs to get a chance to watch him twist his leg and mimic the 'Pushpa' gesture.

While Warner has left no doubts about the love and admiration he holds for Allu Arjun for quit some time now, it wasn't clear whether the Telugu film legend is aware of the same and carries equal affection for the Aussie batting giant.

But on Friday, Arjun sent birthday wishes to Warner to confirm he is warmed by the cricketer's constant affirmation of the 'Pushpa' love. The Telugu film icon used a story post on Instagram to express compliments and plaudits for Warner.

Warner has been in terrific form in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, with 332 runs made in his five innings at an excellent strike rate of 109.93 while averaging 66.40. The swashbuckling player will be back in action on Saturday (October 28) when Australia take on New Zealand in Dharamsala.
