Lucknow Super Giants Sign Shardul Thakur
LSG, already struggling with injuries, decided to bring in Shardul Thakur ahead of their first match of the season. The all-rounder joins the team at a base price of ₹2 crore after going unsold in the 2024 mega auction.
Shardul has been in great form recently, performing well in domestic cricket, especially in the Ranji Trophy, where he contributed with both bat and ball for Mumbai.
Why Is Mohsin Khan Out?
Mohsin Khan has been sidelined due to a calf injury. He is currently recovering at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and won’t be available for at least the first half of the season.
Fans started speculating about Shardul’s signing after he was seen training in LSG’s kit. His pictures from the training camp went viral on social media, hinting at his possible inclusion in the squad.
LSG, under their new captain Rishabh Pant, will begin their IPL 2025 campaign against the Delhi Capitals on March 24 in Visakhapatnam.
