The antics of Virat Kohli are in full swing. Since the South Africa ODI series, the Indian batter has appeared far more cheerful on the field. It seems he has returned to his charismatic phase, as he continues to entertain the crowd during matches.
During the first ODI between India and New Zealand, Kohli gave fans another memorable moment by mimicking Shreyas Iyer’s walk while taking the field on January 11 in Vadodara.
Virat Kohli slays Shreyas Iyer walk
After India was asked to bowl first at the Kotambi Stadium in Baroda, the Indian team walked onto the field following the national anthems.
As the players lined up and made their way to their positions, Shreyas Iyer was walking ahead of Virat in the line-up.
While moving onto the field, Kohli playfully copied Iyer’s distinctive walking style. He flamboyantly shrugged his shoulders, flared his elbows, and exaggerated his movements to imitate Iyer’s confident stride.
Kohli even acknowledged the crowd while mimicking Iyer’s walk, much to the delight of the spectators. As Kohli was mocking Iyer's style, Rohit Sharma was seen giggling uncontrollably behind.
This was not the first time Virat Kohli has mimicked someone on the field. Earlier, he had imitated Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya, and he has also made fans laugh with funny appearances while wearing a bib and carrying drinks to players on the field.

While Kohli’s on-field antics continue to entertain fans, his batting form has also been at its peak.
Kohli continues peak form with the bat
New Zealand posted a total of 300 runs on the board, and India began the chase but suffered an early setback with the fall of Rohit Sharma in the ninth over.
Virat Kohli then walked in and stitched together a crucial 118-run partnership with captain Shubman Gill to steady the innings. He later added another 77 runs with Shreyas Iyer, further anchoring the chase.
Kohli’s knock came to an end at 93 runs when he was dismissed by Kyle Jamieson, falling just seven runs short of what would have been his third century in the last six months. He struck eight boundaries and one six during his innings, scoring at a strike rate of 102.20.
Shreyas Iyer also narrowly missed out on a half-century, falling one run short after facing 47 deliveries. Nevertheless, India managed to see the game through as KL Rahul, Harshit Rana, and Washington Sundar combined to finish the chase, sealing the victory with four wickets in hand.
