The buzz surrounding Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s chartbuster ‘What Jhumka?’ from the hit film, Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani seems to have caught the fancy of Indian cricketer, Shreyanka Patil.

The young spinner, who generally makes headlines for her performances on the field, is now in the news for entertaining netizens with her graceful dance moves to the popular song.

In a video that has since gone viral, Patil showed her dancing skills with her impeccable moves stealing the limelight in a beautiful red saree. Fans from both the cricketing and Bollywood fraternity have been quick to appreciate the charming side of the off-spinner, a departure from her usual on-field avatar.

"The best way to spend an off day - jump in on a trend! #whatjhumka #jhumka," wrote Patil on a video posted on her Instagram account.

But Patil is not just about dance moves and groovy rhythms. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder made history last month by becoming the first Indian cricketer to be signed for the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) by Guyana Amazon Warriors. 

Notably, she also became the first Indian player to get an offer from an overseas league before her international debut which is a significant achievement.

Moreover, her stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) saw her receive plaudits for both her batting and bowling performances where she grabbed six wickets and contributed a vital 62 runs with the bat in seven games.

The 21-year-old’s impressive journey also includes a remarkable 'Player of the Tournament' award win at the Women’s Emerging Asia Cup held in Hong Kong recently. 

The Bengaluru born stunned critics and fans alike by picking up an astonishing nine wickets in just two matches and showed the cricketing community that she is one of the brightest future stars of Indian cricket.
